  I provide a short computation, focused on World Trade Center building 7. Based on very favorable assumptions for achieving a fast fall, including ignoring resistance due to intact steel columns, I could only get the building to fall in about 8.3 seconds, whereas the observed roof-fall time is approximately 6.5 seconds. The problem is the large number of floors and conservation of momentum in a collision. Some of the “official” explanations about progressive collapse are evocative but they do not explain the difficulty in the rapid fall of the building along with what is evidently taking place when the video of the falling building is observed.
  
  
• 9/11 - Evidence for Controlled Demolition: a Short List of Observations door Frank Legge
  
  This short paper is intended as an introduction to the events of 9/11. Evidence based on videos, hotographs and witness testimonies is presented which indicates that explosives were used in the emolition of the Twin Towers and Building 7 at the World Trade Centre. The conclusion is reached that the official reports are unsatisfactory and that further investigation is required.

• 9/11 - Evidence Suggests Complicity: Inferences from Actions door Frank Legge
  
  Examination of the official reports of the events of 9/11 reveals serious deficiencies. A particular eficiency is the failure to identify some of the participants. The reports produced distortions in the public erceptions of the events and resulted in deflection of the political process. Some comments are provided on unfortunate trends which have developed. Further investigation is urgently required.

  No mention of a large, commercial-class aircraft loitering in the restricted airspace of lower Manhattan during the strikes on the WTC towers will be found in the 9/11 Commission Report. It does not appear in any version of the Official Story. It is largely unknown even in critical studies of 9/11. Yet substantial evidence exists to support its presence coincident with the attacks, actually orbiting in close proximity to the towers for several minutes while the North Tower burned and the South Tower was struck. Photography, video footage and eyewitness accounts, including FDNY transcripts and mainstream media audio, confirm this fact.
  
  
• Momentum Transfer Analysis of the Collapse of the Upper Storeys of WTC1 door Gordon Ross
  
  This paper examines the elastic loading and plastic shortening phases of the columns of WTC 1 after impact of the upper 16 storeys of the building upon the lower storeys and its effect on the momentum transfer after the collision. An energy balance is derived showing that there is an energy deficit before completion of the plastic shortening phase that would not allow the collapse to continue under the constraints of this paper.
